A cable jumped off the drum when the spring lost a little tension over time. The door was hanging crooked and refusing to move more than a foot. Otto re-seated the cables, brought the spring tension back to spec, and ran the door through ten full cycles before he called it done. He also checked the other cable and pulleys while he was there, because the kind of wear that takes one cable out usually has a partner on the other side.
Noisy, Shaking Door with Worn Rollers in Twin Creeks
This door woke the baby every time it opened, which the homeowners told us with the exact look you’d expect. The builder-grade metal rollers had flat spots and the hinges were worn, so the door was shaking the whole track assembly.
